Christina Nesheiwat, MSW Candidate 2017 

Christina Nesheiwat is currently an MSW student in the Tulane School of Social Work. Prior to attending Tulane, she was a human rights Policy Specialist at YouTube and completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Amman, Jordan on gender-based violence curriculums from 2012-2013. She is the co-founder of SWANAconnect, a transnational volunteer project that seeks to transform the structural ways in which international aid is practiced, which can often perpetrate more violence towards the communities aid agencies seek to protect. Christina is active in movements for racial and gender equality, a trained domestic violence counselor and medical advocate for survivors of sexual assault at University Medical Center.
